i have never washed mine, periodically jetwash the chassis but let the rain sort the rest.......

I hope the blowing exhaust manifold hasnt eroded around the outlet emma

I find that they go green with mould or moss. The Series 3 that is a project at the moment has moss the roof that has been there so long it has practically gone hard and crystalised lol

With my luck it has

Drivers door decided to get stuck this morning...spent all day getting in and out through passenger door and climbing. Oh & new power steering pump needed. Anyone want a costly orange defender? I'll start using the horse more I think, vets bills are cheaper currently. Can I still come Laning on the nag? I'll try get CB fitted to him?

Not sure about where all the lanes are in Essex, but there is an Essex section on this club, maybe worth saying hello on there, i think they have regular meets as well :).

Good luck with the build. I too have a 300tdi a discovery which I have had now for seven years, it's getting tired but still gets me about as my every day car and laning toy :)

Steam engine noise is not the exhaust gasket - it's the head most likely apparently, which would explain the extreme oil leak?!

But on a happier note Jaf is sparkling ready for prom tomorrow ☺️☺️☺️

I was told exhaust gasket originally when my 300TDi start chuffing like a steam engine. Turns out it is the head gasket so that's been added to the timing belt and radiator. :(

Still, should be sweet as a peach when I get it back :)

Oil leak is not to do with the head. I pick Jaf up tomorrow then she's back to the garage (her 1st home) on Thursday 😳😳

Hope we're all doing well peeps!!
Not had much spare time off or would of suggested go out sooner! And got the joy of a puppy now so he's settled in.
Been doing a few bits to the truck, new suspension bushes here & there, couple of wheel bearings that were solid sand and wouldn't move at all! bow 2 motor fitted to the winch, jw speaker headlights should be arriving next week, and just tidying it up a little!! HD halfshafts and flanges in a few weeks time I recon!

Soooooooooooooooo party people.....whens the next trip? Jaf almost is in working order which is close enough to actual working order which means I'm looking forward to our next trip out :)
