Oh okay, excuse my ignorance I know nothing about these electric cars and the mechanics of them. Spent a good hour googling and reading last night. Tesla supercar sounds interesting!

Yes the Tesla is amazing!
Sadly out of reach for the average person. Starting price £55k rising to well over £100k for a top spec one.

I love the instant torque from 0rpm.

Land Rover made an electric Defender as a test mule. I believe it was quite impressive.

My Leaf is not really a long distance car having a real world range of about 90 miles in the cooler weather we have been having. The range improves with warmer temperatures. There are lots of rapid charging points at most service stations. But that isn't the point of it. Drive around town for about 90-100 miles costs me about £2.50. No tax. No congestion charge. Some of the charging infrastructure is free.

It is a different way of life. Most people have them as second cars. Me? When the Freelander is sold it will be my main means of transportation. Live life on the edge!

Main problem with lecy vehicles is noise - or lack of it....

Many times I have been nearly run over by them in car parks as there is no audible warning of them moving.

Ed did you get any further with the pics I keep checking here to see if there up or not hahaa! Just me being impatient :D :p

Lol

Mine does make a little noise, albeit not like an Aston V8 in full song [emoji41]

I can turn it off if I want. I don't.

Pics look fab! Glad the Scotch Egg got a pic ;)

Got a few vids from go pro but an awful lot of singing, laughing and Frozen in them......

Great picks Flat (sorry forgot your name), some moody ones in there.

Em, upload what you have, we don't have to have the sound on.

My brother has a go pro video but he hasn't edited it yet, yeah em stick it up anyway, 'do you want to build a snowman'

Ah well, end of an era.

I have sold my Freelander.

I am 4x4 less, so I guess I won't be going out again in a long while.

Anyone's welcome to join me & whoever else is in Jaffa, if there's no seat there's always floor, there's 2 rules to travelling in Jaf though:

1. You HAVE to join in singing and dancing else you're out.
2. What happens in Jaf stays in Jaf.

And 1 new rule: no scotch eggs.

We all know what you listen to, and I'm not signing to your music.

They look great, its been ages since I have been out and played, but then my Discovery has been a bit poorly, but that is all getting sorted out on Friday, (Its the oil cooler hoses to the gearbox, they have perished, and its not a job I fancy doing)

There is always Helen's, new to her Freelander, but I am not sure if she let me play. Maybe a very gentle non scratchy lane, I may be in with a chance :)
