Kev, you've not got the hang of this have you. You're supposed to break the Landy like everybody else. You're not supposed to break yourself! :)

must pull my finger out, i just hate working out in the cold, but as the weather gets better so does the landy

Hello,

I live in Chatteris, and I'd like to start getting my 90 out where she belongs. Are you open to noobs? I work irregular hours, so I'm not always around, but I'm looking to get out with a group rather than solo. Thanks!

right eventually I have plowed through this thread(well most of it) anyway I am picking up my new toy on thursday and was looking at getting out with you lot if possible (and off course if you don't mind) I am based in Whittlesey so fairly central to most that have answered this thread.
Is there anything organised in the next few weeks that I can tag along to.
I will say I have never really done any off roading so you might have to bear with me a bit.
oh and was a club or regular meet organised (like I say I have read most of the thread) if so when and where?

hi Whitey1973,
welcome to our thread.

we never got a club going in the end, a few of the guys I was chatting to stopped coming on here.

I dont think there is any plans to go out at the mo as we all have minor issues lol.
I have a broken ankle!

what toy are you gonna get?

I pick up thursday morning:D

The chassis is completely sound, no rust or rot anywhere, the boot floor has been replaced (common fault), the inner wings and battery tray have been replaced, the sills have also been uprated with heavy duty items. When all the work was done everything underneath was cleaned painted and undersealed to keep it as good as new for years to come. The bodywork is also completely sound, there is no rust or blistering. However there are some slight scratches from trees/ bushes when green laning, but there are no major dents. The worst scratches are on the drivers side rear quarter across the filler cap area and can be seen in the pictures.

Modifications: 5x Cooper Discoverer S/T 285/ 75/ 16 tyres, only done a few hundred miles so as good as new. Excellent on the road, virtually no road noise, but also give loads of grip off road and supurb when we had all the snow/ ice.

Landrover 5 spoke alloy wheels with locking nuts. Good condition but some scuffs here and there.

12500 lb Winchmax winch with remote lead, sitting in a guardian tubular heavy duty winch bumper with twin spotlights fitted.

I have a brand new synthetic winch rope, not yet fitted, but included in the sale.

Light bar fitted on roof with 4 lights all wire up and fitted to a switch on the dash.

Steering guard.

Front and rear QT diff guards (the expensive propper ones)

2" pro comp HD suspension lift kit, castor correction front radius arms and cranked trailing arms to suit the lift.

Heavy duty tubular front shocker turrets

2" body lift

Safari snorkel

Breather/ wading kit from diffs, gearbox etc routed through snorkel

Guardian rock sliders

55mm wheel spacers (makes it very wide and stable)

Extended goodrich flexi brake hoses

Extended arches

Front and rear light guards

Rear dislocation cones

Terrafirma steering damper with defender conversion kit to fit behind steering guard at front, rather than behind axle

Polybushed throughout

EGR blanking kit and De-cat exhaust pipe

Black chequerplate kit on doors/ rear panels

Hawk alarm system with 2x key fobs

Kenwood radio/ CD player with USB/ I-pod connection, extra speakers in read door / pillars, all wired up properly and sounds great.

The clock is only showing 112,000 miles which is nothing for one of these vehicles. However less than 3000 miles ago the engine was overhauled, cambelt done, headgasket replaced and a brand new cylinder head fitted. The original headgasket/ head hadn't gone but whilst it was off a hair line fracture was found in the casting of the head so it was replaced with a new one. The clutch was also replaced. The engine runs absolutely spot on and it pulls like a train, no smoke when cold or when under load/ heavy acceleration.

the description is taken from the ad but it seems like it has everything I might need, I weighed up buying something standard and then modding as I need or can afford but it works out cheaper to get something already done.
I can't wait

looks good, I know some body that would love to help you get that dirty!! mine is in need of some work before i can play again, but im hoping the end of next month!?

front prop, hand brake, n/s headlight, rear lights dont work, fuel gauge reads full until i put the lights on then i can mot it and sell it for a station wagon. that said i have my eye on a 88 series 2 as well
