Got a slight problem with the disco , it hasn't been running well since we done the ford while out green laning , blowing out black smoke and I can hear a blowing sound when I put my foot down in 4th and 5 th . Checked the air filter and its knackered obviously took in water. Changed the filter and its running better but still making the blowing noise and blowing out black smoke ? I only had a. Recon engine 10 k ago . Anyone think what damage I have done . ?
 
When you drive it can you see out of the back window or is it just a huge black cloud?

I was passing Atherstone earlier, could have popped by.
 
Can see black smoke from the near side mirror when I accelerate through the gears , only really noticed it at the weekend when we towed our caravan to Worcester , it was blowing loads of black smoke out on way home.
 
I went laneing on Sunday and a guys disco was doing the same. He said his turbo had packed up.
Plus he had no power on the hill climbs and the smoke was bad.
 
Yeah I think it's something to do with the turbo it's going in to the local Landy specialist tomorrow to have a snorkel fitted , he's going to have a look, the air filter was shredded just hope no bits have gone in engine . See what they say .
 
All sorted the grinding noise was excessive wear in the rear donut diff . Snorkel fitted I fitted the steering gAurd just need a bumper winch and a decent winch and I'm taking the misses and kids on a morocco expedition ! Happy days :)
 
Had a good day learning the ropes at silverdale pay and play today , seen a couple of broken landys tho , extreme off roading but a cracking day out :)
Some awesome landys there.
