Got car back on the road only a day before next issue shows up. Had a chair to collect from 100miles away.

Got there, picked up something to or the missus in Argos and took multiple tries to open boot.

Which then opened no bother after.... Off to get chair.

Tailgate would not open. Tried and tried different options with fob and two buttons pressings on dash, cursing and jumping up and down without joy.

Amazed I got the chair in side doors so not a wasted journey.

No noise coming from latch when fob unlocks other doors so probably the latch itself.

2014 model... I will check if its just a fuse before ordering a new latch.

Anyone got a diagram showing fuse location/number?

I haven't checked on the F2 but I suspect it would not make a noise when the car is locked or unlocked as there is no mechanical device to open the door - ie a handle.

Its a switch. So if the car is locked, it will simply ignore the switch.

Make sure you have double unlocked the car. 1 press only unlocks the drivers door, 2 presses unlocks the other doors including the boot. Mind you, looks like you have pressed the unlock button on the dash, which I believe unlocks the tailgate.

Did you ever get this sorted. Boot won't open on key or unlock no clicks on trying. Dashboard says boot open but it unlocked.... Tried all unlock tricks key, dashboard HD down lock and unlock buttons... Thanks to nodge 68 changed the boot micro switch less than 12 months ago.

Kind of. I had a look at the bit you pull up to open the boot. Noticed it was cracked. I peeled back the rubber and WD-40'd it to death, did that three or more times until the fluid running out was not black, left it to dry out then put the rubber back on.

It's been working since but weirdly it clicks on first pull and opens on second. Does this every time but always opens.

Thanks for the reply. Looks like mine was a blown fuse....changed it and all good....but then went again, so still not sure of the problem. The fuse is also for the fuel cap but when the fuse blows that works ok...confused...

Apparently the fuel cap solenoid can draw too much current, which will blow the fuse.
