Hi Nodge,
Mine is a 2009, so as far as I know there is no relay, only a 60amp fuse which I've checked.
Like you say, the code is pretty ambiguous. My indy was unable to interrogate it any further...
Do you know any more about said controller?
Thank you

According to the manual, the glow plugs appear to be powered directly from the ECM, which is pretty unusual.

The supply harness to the ECM doesn't look to contain wiring heavy enough for 40 odd Amps, but that's what the book says.

Thanks Nodge, hopefully the harness (LR001303) will sort it.

And I hope i can fit it without taking the manifold itself off...

...just a load of other stuff...!!

Is there a way to forcibly activate the glow plugs when starting? When its warm the ECU doesn't activate them and my FL1 doesn't start easily.

You can jump the relay, but it should start without glow plugs of the temperature is over 5°C.
