Diff pumpkin is limiting factor as it's the lowest point, not 100% on diff height but it's not massive sadly, but thankfully the ruts are not too bad and we don't really get hung up at all.

You wouldn't have liked that first lane we went to go drive, it was really bad, would have been a bit of body damage had we attempted that one! I am planning on revisiting that lane with my pick axe and shovel each night this week to rip up the high spots and fill in the ruts to enable a lot less body damage on the next visit.

Will post piccies as always.

cheers , indeed ref the ground clearance on the diff, was curious in how they compared, know from the sill to the ground it’s 18 inches in extended height on mine but know that’s immaterial

that first lane did indeed look rather tight

will later on invest in some diff guards and skid plates , see there’s also some for the air tank and compressor, both rear silencers i feel are abit low , can look into that at a later date , there are some adjustment brackets to get them tucked up out of the way

looking forward to the pics and sounds like a great plan, shame lanes etc aren’t maintained like they useto be

always remember years ago some cracking lanes at Biggin Hill, alas farmer gated everything , don’t think they were byways because there were still there last year , think some of the pilgrims way are still open but haven’t checked for years

Yeah I shall sort the videos out later, I've got a couple from Weatham Hill and the wrecked-car-removal one, Have you got the one your missus took of me coming down Wheatham hill before we got stuck?

Much of the Pilgrims way between Maidstone and Ashford is open, and some further north, fairly solid and un-rutted too, though a little tight in places- went through a couple of years back in my mates Surf and more recently in the 90

possibly get a winching blanket imo

I have one it's in the recovery kit box, first pull was max 200kg or burnt out shell, 2nd pull was up a 60 degree hillside, no way it was staying on the line and would have been in the drum before I could have hit the in button, and by the time I got to the end of that lane on the flat'ish bit it was long out of my mind to get it out of the bottom of the box.

Must do better but by the next excursion the Dynema will be spooled up.

Then making sure all are stood well clear when a winch is in operation , would be advisable..............Just saying like...;)

Cheers

cheers and look forward to the videos,

indeed wasn’t sure ref the pilgrims way and would be great later if were able to do a trip out plse

alas i don’t think i’ll be ready till august time but will keep an eye out for future trips etc and how i’m placed

thks again

Right in the middle of the actual lane, people had been driving up the bank to get by. Think it is a wire rope but you'll have to ask DD as it's his truck.

there useto be a lot of issues at the top of biggin hill where cars where stolen and ended up being burnt out through some of the lanes , that section has been gated off for years, think it was the cut through to knockholt and sanderstead

would be awesome at some stage to do the Kent trails plse

didn’t realise at first ref the pilgrims way with how it got it’s name from the canterbury tales
