Looking for some advice...We are moving from a rented house and my 90 has left it’s “mark” on the driveway. Are there any products that will dissolve the large oil stain?? Or techniques to remove the oil. The next place will be ours, so I will make a gravel section for it to leak all over!

I've tried driveway cleaning products from the DIY store. Useless.
My current thoughts are something to loosen it, a solvent, petrol maybe, then something to soak it up, kitty litter, sand etc. Never tried it so don't know if you'll just end up spreading it about and making things worse

Brake cleaner is quite good, 5 litres frm ebay for under 15 quid, CTFR and a stiff brush as well, ultimately nothing will get it perfect.

Household dish washing up liquid, generously applied. And a scrubbing brush. Scrub well in gradually adding a little water. And hose off. Repeat until you are happy with the amount of cleaning. Oil is best cleared with a detergent rather than a solvent. Works every time for me.

I've heard biological washing powder works, mix some with a bit of water, make into a paste, then scrub the paste into the stain wash off then repeat if necessary. Thinking about it something like Cillit Bang might work too

Another one for biological washing powder [has to be the bio one ] Also good for removing baked on crud from an old engine. Use as above

If you just ladle white spirit over it, scrub it and leave it, it will take it down into the concrete and follow it down!
You can then do what you want with the surface. Lots of advice here now!

Cheap option is engine Gunk from Halfords but need to let it soak for a while, might have to use a scrubbing brush 2nd option a little expensive but it’s worked for me is Loctite 7840 cleaner degreaser..

Wow loads of options there, thanks landyzone! I’m having the engine swapped out in a week so when it’s at the garage I will have some attempts with some of the above - will start with washing up liquid, think there is some in the kitchen!
