So it was all back on the road after the clutch episode. and had a great day out at billing, no episode there.but two days later, coming home early morning to pick up some extra equipment for a charity gig that night I turned off the A34 on to a back lane, as per, so down from 75/80 ish AS you do pushing the disco. to a steady 60/5 The new cd player as load as i can bear it these days, and just about to turn in to my lane on the right, a sudden SCREECH!!! Front off side wheel locked and with no control slid me into the off side lane:eek:. Bloody lucky no one was coming towards me!:eek: ... Turns out (short story long) swivel bearing smashed to smithereens.
And theres more!!!

musta felt the front end wobbling before hand?
Do uou need a new swivel housing? I may have one kicking about but not a a 300

Thanks for the offer, Wierd thing is their was no feedback from the front end? No wobble no grind or whine, just locked up!

Kind of get the feeling i posted this in the wrong section?

Swivel bearing??? or wheel bearing?? cause mine did exactly the same and it was the front wheel bearing that had seized. :eek:
 
I had a wheel bearing that locked up due to bad maintainance pulled me across a lane but it was a wheel bearing not a swivel bearing but I guess its possible ish
