Download a workshop service manual or the Rave CD and it will have the full service schedule in it.

Any ideas as to what my first course of action should be. I guess drain oil from rear axle and check the seal on the plug?

No idea about the fluid leak on the wheel.

Any help appreciated.

Cheers

Take the plug out. Don't bother draining it 'cos it'll be below the level 'cos it's leaking. Clean plug and area around plug hole, wrap loads of PTFE tape around plug threads. Top up to level and replace plug.
Looks like brake cylinder seal has packed up. Wheel off, drum off, inspect cyl. replace seal, re-assemble, bleed brakes, wheel on and test.

Thanks Cabbie, when you say take out the plug you mean the one on the bottom I assume? Will all the oil not pour out as soon as I do this?

Will leave the break fluid til the weekend

Cheers
James

No, the one halfway up. the level plug. The oil looks like it is leaking downwards from there and it very rarely travels upwards.

OK many thanks I thought it might be coming out the bottom plug and seeping upwards in the mud :) silly me

Ok will do that so basically take out plug, top up the oil with EP90 and cover the plug thread in PTFE tape and after cleaning replace.

Can I replace the seal on the bottom as well just so I know its safe for the future - not had this one long you see so dont know what parts need replacing etc and what state they are in. If so, can you point me in the direction of a website/company who you would recommend for LR spares.

Many thanks for your help!

Cheers
James
