Hi guys rebuilt my gearbox and have a problem with 3rd gear can select it no problem but when you go to select another gear you can't get it out of gear. This only happens when you drive it in 3rd. To get it out you have to come to a stop and jerk the transmission. Any ideas

Assume it will slide out of gear as you take foot off the accelerator? Ie clutcheless change? If so I'd agree with synchro issue, though didn't know it could go together wrong

You have to come to a complete stop then jerk the Transmission on the clutch to get it to let go. You can put the synchro hub in the wrong way we fitted a new one on rebuild and we're sure we put it in right but it's possible we were wrong

Selector shafts nipped up in correct location ? Fairly quick check with cover off
In the short term can you drive without using 3rd

Will have to check that can be driven just about. Didn't think you could get selector forks in wrong place? Will take top cover off and have a look

3rd and 4th selector fork can easily be fitted to one side of the hub ,its best to select 3rd with a bar or screw driver etc before fitting the selector fork
