No your manual gearbox is not hydraulic. Suggest you get someone who knows what he is doing to look at it for you.

Have you lost all drive? i.e. you're not moving in any gear? Any noises? Tried both High and Low?
I've had this once pulling out of a junction. It was the output shaft from the gearbox that had snapped.

by lost all gears, is that it won't go in gear or it goes in but you get no drive when u lift the clutch

hi just to let you all know i have fixed it yipeeeeee it turned out to be the gear stick remote pin which is atatched to the bottom knuckel on your gear stick and the other end is a pin which goes down into a roller ball which is where your gear stick would normaly sit the down side is that the pin from L/R is 90 quid and it is a comon problem .
the other little jem is that you have to remove the gearbox which realy ****ed me off.
i was lucky to pick up a hole new remote unit from city gearboxes in coventry

symptoms .......gear leaver is very lose in moving forwards and backwards it feels like theres nothing there side to side stayes the same

right this was my way of doing the job......
instead of removing the gear box if you remove the center consol and front seats and front carpet there is a insrection cover with a little perswasion with a pair of pliers you can bend up the cover around the gear stick and force out the cover. then if you are brave you can then cut two slits in the gear tunnel about 3 inch from the access pannel over the remote and slightly bend up the flap just far enough to give yourself room to remove the remote unit which is 4 ten mm bolts easy then replace the access pannel through the larger hole and bend back down the flap i then used bonding solution forced it through the slits and let it set it worked for me anyway thanks for your help
