Upping the alternator amps will make no difference, your alternator can put out at least 100 amps but it's unlikely that the battery will ever charge at that rate. How long the alternator takes to recharge the battery is a mute point and will vary depending on many things. Short runs are battery killers especially on diesels with the additional load imposed by the glow plugs and high compression, that's why on more modern vehicles there is a period of charging at up to 18 volts after starting.. Road speed makes little difference as the alternator spins at many times crank speed these days so most will charge at a good rate from little more than tick over.
I use solar panels to keep mine topped up. I have one permanently mounted and connected in the rear window of my Transit as it only does short runs.

Car was stuck in 3rd gear yesterday. (Reverse worked, drive only gave me 3rd and could not manually select other gears) No faults in dash, or nanocom.

When this happend, the gear i was in was not displayed in the dash, as usual.
Took car off and on after it warmed up abit and it worked again…

have not gotten the gearbox fault message since i stopped using my radio and doing the small trips.

Regulator should arrive in a week i guess..

gonna meassure my battery later today after work. Im going to rest it for few hours first. (Ik u should do it in the morning, but its snowed down , no garage for me yet….

Garage is so underrated

Unless it's like @Enthusiastman 's I'm sure he lives in his so he's near his Rangie.;):D

Perhaps shouldnt have said i didnt get the fault up, because it happend again.

When im done with my ride (engine still on) i read 14.2 volts from battery..

I just want my damn regulator soon as it's closing up to -7 celsius now and i ain't wrenching outside in -7 snowing
Hope it fixes my problem tho :(

At startup my lights also dims, then quickly brigthens up, so does dash and hvac screen.

My postal tracking just says: Your package is on the way... :D:D Great. I think im gonna put my battery on charge for tonight.

Im going to order atf. Gearbox fault still occured with battery topped up to the brim. Previous owner stated he partially drained the gearbox and didnt change the filter soo.. (this is like 15-20K km since if not more.

bougth atf and lubeguard shudder fix, i suppose that is somehow the same as lucas? That it thickens the atf abit and my converter wont mess as much while locking and unlocking?

Got the atf auto kit on british parts.
Filter, gaskets and washers including 7liters atf

I dont understand why theres no fault in nanocom tho…

when my transfer ecu went bye bye (unable to go lowgear) it had no codes either. Changed ecu and woilah lowgear…

can the gearbox fault come up due to poor atf?/ overfilled and filter change overtime? I aint know much about solenoids. Infact no idea what it even is, but they might get clogged ay?

You wont see many gearbox faults on diagnostics.
Don't forget to follow Henry-b's advice and tighten all the torx bolts on the valve block.

I dont get to much of that info, but the fault code is taken from the box ecu, so as the other pictures.

i find it odd that the engine temperature on gearbox is high? I read engine temp and it is were its supposed to be..

Welp ive ordered atf, and lucas transmission fix.
Anyhow, could it be my fusebox throwing the gearbox fault?
Previous owner told me he sometimes got codes, and just gently slammed the fusebox and voilah…

i also smell burnt electrics from my fusebox. Infact, i have done that for the whole ownership. Very specific and concentrated smell, and strong.

Anyhow, whenever i brake my hvac screen dims slightly, is that normal? :D
Also, does anyone have the torque spec for the valve body in the box? For my future oil and filter change.

If you change the fuse box make sure you get the correct one for your year and fuel type.

the clue may be

That is the classic sign of fuse box failure. Sometimes it is possible to repair the fuse box but it means splitting the t printed circuit boards so not easy.
8 Newton metres according to Mark for the Torx bolts in the valve block.
