Hi,
Quick question, the gasket from the turbo to exhaust (land rover 90, 1987) is a metal shim type one with a raised centre 'bit'. What way round does it go? I.e. raised side against the turbo or raised size against the exhaust?
I've read the answer somewhere, but have forgot and can't get any results when searching.
Does this make any sense?

Cheers

I know the gasket you mean, but I thought they had been replaced with a fibre gasket now?

Turbo man, they may well have but this was the part that came in my order from LRdirect :).

Interesting, pretty sure mine has a fibre gasket. I changed the turbo abot five years ago.
I will have a look at some manuals, see if I can find which way up the metal one goes :)

Ahahah it was just me being stupid :D It can only go on one way!
It was the turbo to manifold gasket that can go in two orientations and I know have read that the raised side must go on the uppermost side.
