I wonder if anyone can advise..

I was replacing the intake pipes today on my 55 plate TD4 and found a hanging connector...

On checking and comparing with my fathers 03 plate TD4 the connector appears to be the fuel rail pressure connector... but there is already a connector on the fuel rail, nearside end, which goes off to the fuse box under the bonnet.... My fathers 03 plate does not have this lead at all....

Any advice?

Thanks

There was an upgraded loom available.

Previous owner has probably had it upgrade and just left the old one in situ

One connector seems to come from the same place as the glow plugs (not connected) but the other from the fuse box... is this the right upgrade? I just want to confirm this is not all wrong...

This sounds like mine. Mod was done before I got the car - loom goes from pressure sensor direct to ECU housing. The previous (original) wiring went from ECU box to loom near glow plug connectors, then on to the pressure sensor. The old loom was cut near the sensor, at the glow plug area and also inside the ecu box.
