OK lads, didn't get the diagnostics yet (bank holidays I suppose) but the father in law threw in a bottle of reddex while the tank was only a quarter full. Car came home chugging and parked up for 4 days as I didn't have time to look at it. Today I planned to do the off leak test so I started it. went first go, drove to the nearest garage to fill her up a bit with more diesel to counteract the reddex overkill. The car drove fine so I filled up with an extra tenner and drove around. The car is running perfect. Did city traffic and motorway, no bother never missed a beat.

Could it be that it was just dirty injectors? It would be something simple as that after ordering the diagnostics

I will try her tomorrow and monday and report back.

I shall go and sacrifice a chicken, and pray to the God of knackered 4x4's.

nope I was indeed not that lucky. Still don't have that diagnostics (great post service here during the easter NOT)

However I did the off leak test today. No leakage with low pressure rail disconnected and ignition on but engine not running.

With engine running for approx 30 seconds I get 6ml, 4.ml , 6ml, 7ml is this acceptable?
