Apologies if wrong place for this..
Currently sorting out a RRC/Series hybrid for trialing/offroad use, it's got a hgv fuel tank mounted in the pickup bed and a facet electric fuel pump and regulator mounted under where the middle seat would go. After sorting some pipework issues out the V8 is running almost as it should.
I plan to replace the rusty old tank with an ally/stainless one with more baffles inside to sort out lack of fuel pressure at certain times, and the lack of a separate tank vent and fuel gauge. The pump will be moved as its too close to the prop and exhaust for my liking. I am thinking to mount the pump either next to the tank in the pickup or in the engine bay, depending on whether I fit a swirl pot if the new tank baffles aren't up to it. Would be interested to know what others have done for this.
Is there any reason why I can't replace the main run of rubber fuel pipework with copper and fix it with rubber lined P clips, then have rubber pipe coming off that for the final connection at both ends. This would be underneath so not inside the cab.
Many thanks
