It appears that I have a leak from my FIP. It looks to me like is is coming from the bolt/screw on the right in the image fairly tight against the timing chest. Does anyone know if there would be diesel behind this (I'm guessing so), and also I think the pump would need to come out to get a new washer on there?

Long shot but have you tried nipping it up a bit?
Certainly looks like pump removal to get that out although, if not aware, you can get a kit allowing FIP removal without disturbing the timing chest.
Sure it's not coming from what looks like that Banjo?

hi If its from the 13mm nut next to "559" stamped on housing it is a lock nut for governor weight support spindle. the spindle has an o ring inside the housing and is adjustable but DO NOT take it out with pump in situ as the governor will fall to pieces and drop inside pump. Pump should come off engine to do it and take off top housing to be sure all is in place before putting back, you should measure the protrusion of the thread before taking off locknut so you can put it back the same

Thanks for all the input guys. I bit the bullet and took it to a fuel pump specialist locally. £250 later and it's all done.
