hello hope some one can help me. fitted a new radio in my disco 2 1999 model ..since i fitted it interor lights wont come on and clock lights up but that it . ? and the fuel flap wont open when i pressed the switch checked all the fuses all ok is there any way i can open the flap to get fuel in or am nackered thanks george...

well

in my disco 1 i shorted the permanent live to the radio, and that busted the interior lamps and the clock time (not lights)

i assume the disco 2 has the fuel flap added to this circuit

on my d1, there is a separate 3 amp fuse for the radio memory

it'll be there somewhere!!

most vehicles with electronic fuel flaps have emergency access points behind the trim. 9 times outta 10 all you gotta do is pull a cable or lever.

The fuel cap I have No idea! But radio and lights I do as had the same problem. In a discovery the radio and interior lights work on the same fuse. Which is stock normally a 5 AMP but if you look on the back of your radio it probably has a 10 AMP so you need to locate the radio and lights fuse in the fuse box and replace it with a 10 AMP fuse then it should all work fine.
