Hello,

Yesterday I had about a quarter tank of diesel, I put in £25 and was surprised that it jumped up to 3/4 full...

After to driving to work and back, I stalled going up a hill ( only got car yesterday) now the fuel gauge says just over a quarter, it dropped straight after I stalled. Any ideas? Thanks

Seems that most Freelander fuel gauges are inaccurate, mine certainly is. Stays on full for about 80 miles then drops to 3/4 after a couple of miles then just seems to choose its own reading when ever it wants. I just fill it up then top up when it reaches 1/4 of a tank.

Same here full for 100 mls then drops quickly the slows down again. Seems accurate when near empty.

You need new side steps ,roof lights and a few other bits ...... and need to get your bumper black .
I was going to post in that other thread of yours to save your money to fix the things that break in the next few weeks .

If you don't already have a haynes manual ,invest asap .

i tend to have ood readings from the fuel gauge after not running it for a week then filling it - it tends to stick as a full tank for around 1/2 a tank them drop over night then work normaly
