Just a little bit of info that may be of use & save people some money.
6 years ago I rebuilt my SWB Series 3 that had stood outside for 15 years.
The front swivels were obviously completely shot, I took a gamble & had them powder coated (£35) - 6 years later they're still fine - no leaky grease.
Now rebuilding a '66 2a & will be doing the same again.
Did think about Cerakote as it seems to be a modern version of powder coat, but not sure if it will do such a good job?

I think they sell them new now coated rather than chrome, i went with the chrome ones last year, was that at an ally wheel repairer

Yeah, Aerocoat near Gt.Yarmouth. Always used them for powder coating. Saved me a fortune not having to buy new swivels. Going to fit rubber fairies this time round as well.

This is the moment I come on with a smart arse smug smile and tell everyone, when I replaced mine a couple of years ago the web site I used advertised a full kit for under six quid a side.
I never thought for one moment they would send them for that but they did. :p

Oh.... 24 hours later they magically went back to normal price :D

And yes, I did post a thread asking if anyone needed to order some in the near future.

No body came forward
