i have the front driver and passenger Squab type seats which I like. I’m looking to fit a front middle seat between these two but I can’t seem to find anywhere that does it. I will need the bracket / or runners and the actual pads.

Anyone got an idea where I can pick these up please?

There was someone selling one on here, I got one loose when I bought my Tithounus, just drilled through and bolted it down. Not sure if it was right but works fine for me.

A Series 3 centre seat should fit, but I'm not sure that the lap-strap seat belt normally fitted to the Series 3 centre seat is particularly safe.

I had been looking into fitting a centre seat to mine, but I'm not happy using just a lap belt and can't see any way of fitting a conventional lap and diagonal belt.
I have also moved the driver's seat inwards by 1" as per later Defenders, which has reduced the space available for a centre seat, but does make a significant improvement to elbow to door room.

Yeah I did think just a lap belt wouldn’t be sufficient.
