Hi guys. Bit of a weird one this. Front brakes were tired so renewed discs and pads with pagid items. noticed on strip down the lower slider pin gaitor on drivers side was ruined so pin had pretty much seized hence the main reason for replacing pads and discs on the front.
there was grinding noises coming from the front drivers side so put that down to the pads being pretty shot. changed pads and discs and renewed the gaitors and regreased the slider pins so they had fluid movement but the grinding noise remains when braking hard.
if i apply the brakes softly there is no noise. it sounds like drivers front and almost like the pads and discs need renewing but thats already been done. i checked pads as i know they can be inboard and outboard but all four were identical.
i havent checked rears yet but i'd swear blind the noise is coming from the front. i dont think its the abs kicking in either. definitely grinding noise! very strange...
