Firstly car is a 1997 P38a. Went out last night, come home, locked car with the fob everything was working fine. Came out this morning, pressed the fob to unlock the car and the front drivers side door did not unlock (the other 3 did). Opened the driver door with the key to get in. Started the engine, went to operate the front window from the switch pack and nothing, tried adjusting the door mirror nothing! The passenger side door mirror works as do all of the other 3 windows. Any ideas what would cause the front door lock, front window and mirror to all not function on the driver side, is the common denominator here the door outstation or should I be looking elsewhere? Thanks

Check the wiring between the A post and the door for breaks and the block connectors at the base of the A post ,behind the kick panel, for corrosion.

Could not see anything obvious with the wiring but only did a quick check, will need to look at it more in depth when I get sometime. What did happen today was driving along and I could hear a clicking noise coming from inside the door! Then it stopped but still no window, door lock or mirror operation from the drivers front door!

Found the problem today, was a light green wire from the BECM to the A post connector. I checked the other connector first as it housed the two feeds/earths to the outstation but they were fine. Then started checking continuity from the BECM to the other side of the connector which connects to the door loom and thats when I found the problem. Tried to trace the break in the wire but couldnt see anything obvious so might be an internal break. Anyway overlayed a new wire problem solved, door lock, windows, mirror started working!

Nice, one we usuall recommend cutting out the block connectors at the bottom of both A posts they are prone to corrosion.,cut out solder and heat shrink each wire.hence post #2 ;)
