Today started the removal of my old pro comp shocks and turrets on the front, jacked it up and supported the weight, unbolted the turret and let it free then started to unbolt the bottom of the shock.

The problem is the bolt is seized up completely, tried shocking it, heating it up and my grinder simply doesn't reach to grind the nut off. Anyone any ideas of a sulution to get the nut off? Also looking around and can't decide what 2 inch raise kit shocks to get, any recommendations?

I drilled through the nut on both sides, and then added plenty of releasing oil and whacked it with a hammer/chisel. This shocked it loose. If you're ditching the shocks you can afford to be a bit rough with it - start with a small drill to make a good pilot hole then move up to as big as possible to remove as much nut as possible.
 
No no no, and again NOOOOOOO !!!

If the angle grinder doesn't reach, get a bigger one. You can never have enough angle grinders in Land Rover world ... Though one of my favourites was an air chisel .. ;)

Cheers guys probly try drill the holes in the nut, otherwise il see if any mates have a bigger grinder until I can actully afford one.
