Hi all.
Can any one advise me please. I have a freelander xdi 2000yr i think it was one of the better ones with hill discent / air con /track control / abs etc
its done 71000. Its a good reliable car. Only trouble is on the service record it does not show a cambelt change.Reading some of the posts i understand some had timing chains instead. How can I tell so I can have peace of mind thanks:confused:

Why dont you phone your land rover parts department and give them the chassis number they will tell you every thing you want to know!

I think all the L-Series diesels are cambelts, only the TD4's have "simplex" chains (if its not rattling your a happy camper) and don't need replacing like a Rubber belt does..

Your's is the same model/year/etc as my baby so I'd bet good money its a cambelt, just done all 3 of mine, Cambelt and Tensioner, Injection Pump Belt and the Aux belt :)

Hi there does anybody know what timing pins i need to a fuel belt change on a 2lt XDI also where can i purchase them
Thanks dom139
