Hi guys, first time posting on here. I have a prob with my 55 plate freelander. The engine warning light on the right of the dash keeps coming on & im losing power, it goes off if I take the foot off the accelerator pedal. Any suggestions or does anyone know what the problem is? Many thanks

Welcome.
Help us to help you.
Engine type
Manual or automatic.
Does it kick smoke out when the fault occurs, if yes what colour.

As @Nodge68 suggests, low pressure fuel supply. Read the thread as suggested.
Also do you know the last time the low pressure fuel pump was replaced, they have a finite life span.

DEF94CA5-24EB-4FFF-9940-889AEEBD8EDB.jpeg Hi guys, quick update. I put diesel in my car this morning & it wouldn’t start again. Now I pushed it out the petrol station. As the images show I pulled this hose off & the car turned over no probs. Any suggestions or does this indicate any specific problem? Thanks again .

Coincidence I'd say. That hose is just a vacuum hose that supplies vacuum to the EGR valve.

Don't buy a cheap one as you will be able to hear it as you are driving and a cheap one will fail quickly. Don't forget to replace its filter with a quality item as well
