2001 FREELANDER 1.8, Drives ok until i get to a hill then seems to miss fire, changed the plugs, coil pks & complete trottle housing. Taken to a local garage but they are stumped aswell, any1 got any ideas? CHEERS

put a gallon of petrol all round interior add a lit match call insurance. Buy a real landy

could be any manner of things without knowing what the vehicle is running like the rest of the time.

If you mash your foot to the floor, does it accelerate or bog like a bag o'****e

Ex-apprentice lol at work swears the K-series is the best engine ever made. He was also trying to convince us (a load of metal workers) how aluminium is a ferrous metal :crazy:

Its to reliable for its own good


As to the fault we need more details go for drive put it in 1st and floor it tell us if it does it then

cheers for the replies, yeh it does the same thing if i floor it, it has done that since ive had it(normaly when overtakin), but know it is doing it under load wen i go up hills. cheers

One I had used to do this, was the fuel pump in that instance.

Changed fuel pump, still the same problem, any other ideas??????????????????

do you not know anyone with the same vehicle that has no problems,if yes try swapping those ign parts over just to rule yours out once and for all.

I had a clogged filter that couldnt keep up with the higher fuel demand under load.
