My 1.8 '99 Freelander failed the MOT due to to high emissions. I replaced the Lambda sensor but I am not sure if it is working correctly.
I have a Hawkeye and sometimes I get the message O2 Sensor status not OK. But I have learnt that this is normal when the sensor/engine/manifold is still cold.
Yesterday I warmed the engine up, and after a short drive the sensor showed OK. I now have 0.0V and when I mess with the throttle while the car is in neutral I sometimes get 0.3V
I also see the loop status change from open to closed while driving.
However yesterday after the short drive the sensor showed NOT OK again, and voltage was 0.0V.
Is there anyone with a Hawkeye who knows what is normal and what the voltage and mixture should be?
The Lamdba sensor is new from NGK.
