I preferred the silver my D3 was painted in. But black would have been my second choice.

has also got the window film tinting on the front windows

going to peel it off the front doors, even though it's. slight tint, just don't like it

Mine was tinted but only on the rear windows.

love those wheels

reminds me i've got to try and find a spare rim , seeing i bloody missed not noticing it ,

been trying to pick at the window film and is rather stuck, obviously ,

thinking maybe a hair drier might soften the film up

folded the 3rd row seats down , came with the roller shelf cover, blimey is that boot big

like the side bins

don't know how to lower the drivers side glove box though , wondering if it's a cover for just electronics , etc

can see the square handle but can't open it

The wheels I fitted were 18" SE alloys painted gloss black and shod with 255/60/18 Pirelli Scorpion ATRs. I found the Scorpions were cheaper than some budget brands if got from the correct place. I think I paid around £80 each for the Scorpions. Well worth the money as they grip in all conditions.

The spare wheel has probably been stolen. That's a common problem, so there's a security plate made to prevent this. You'll need a new winch for the spare if it's been nicked.

Don't forget that the EGR valves are as fussy as those on the TD4, only there's two of them. A blanking kit will be less than an equivalent for the Freelander though.

they look a treat

going to treat and paint the chassis part first where the spare wheel goes ,

then find one on ebay etc

did see on the d3 forum about those security plates and egr blanks

found a full fitting instruction for the egr blanks, looks abit of fun but think it's well within my capability, will just take my time

all on the list, :D

is road tax and maybe tyres tomorrow

the rear tyres are really low, never know it could be the reason why it wanders, must have only around 10 psi in them, got a starter unit that has the built in compressor, but needed recharging first,

will pump them up first thing

thks again

The EGRs are easy enough to do. I did one 2 weeks ago.
Tyres need to be 36PSI or the thing handle badly.

erm, u now it was wandering , well no more

will put my hands up to this and get shot

rear tyres were at 15psi each

got 36 on the backs 33 on the front

it now sits solid and even more impressed , it whispers down the motorway

is a very nice engine , where i useto go up some hills in the freelander this just storms up it

a truely beautiful landy

Have the oil pump changed at the same time as the belts Gary. Disco Mikey had some quality oil pumps a while back.
The oil pump is well worth changing, as a delay in oil pressure build up when starting, can cause crank failure. Crank failure on a D3 means a new engine is needed. A second hand engine is about £3K, so replacing the oil pump, is a must.
