Slob,

Since you seem to dislike the vehicles so much, I just wonder why you seem to spend so much time on a forum devoted to them.

Maybe it's a selfless act of service to dissuade us poor misguided fools from buying them.

Best wishes,

Slob is a masochist. He adores the pain he feels reading all these enthousiastic articles about the Hippo whilst he hasn't got one ....:D :D :D

nah, it gives one a sense of having done something right in yer life.. not having bought one

suzukis were always ****e, even their motor bikes are second rate ;)

Got to agree with this. Suzuki's are poorly finished, My GSX600 was covered in corrosion within weeks of buying it. I also noticed that the welds weren't particularly neat either. I swapped to Triumph a couple of years ago (Tiger 955i) which is also used on Green Lanes and it's as pristine now as when I bought it. You've got to keep on top of the cleaning if you get your wheels muddy, it pays off in the End. That's when you notice how well things are built.

Also, I think it says a lot about British Workmanship, we've had a lot of bad press over the years but my old MG and my Triumph (the Freelander is too new to say as yet but it looks solid enough) were pretty well put together compared to some of the French, Italian and Japanese cr*p out there.

We had a Land Cruiser in Africa some years back, excellent motor and solid enough mechanically, but it was very tatty round the edges because the finish was poor.
