Recently purchased a 2005 Freelander TD4 2.0. Had it over 2 weeks now and think its fantastic. Has anyone got any horror stories about this model to frighten me sensless or should i just wait for the £400 service charge!!!!

Just Ignore em john!
enjoy yer hippo.:D

I was goin to add "while its working"
But I'll just say welcome;)

Mondo,
John did ask for any horror stories, I just don't think he was expecting a 'war & peace' size volume....:p

You'd think he could aford sumat a bit flashier, after kickin his football about for as long as he did:D

Probably a bit down on his luck, all the tellywork's dried up a bit for him.Haven't seen him in any adverts for ages, and Tuffnel has all the loan company stuff sewn up...

Cheers guys, and by the way been a hard few years in the Barnes house since my Liverpool days, plus i keep piling the pounds on so hey needed a bigger car to fit me in.!!!!

Go on John - give us a rap...:D
Nah, semi-seriously - It seems like the luck of the draw if you have a lemon or a minter but with the help of these guys if problems do arise we should be able to help you get things right. Every car has its problems and the hippo is no exception but personally I think that common faults are a godsend compared to varied voodoo faults that gets people scratching heads. Enjoy the car, keep your servicing up to date and have fun! ;)

About 12 years ago or so a friend of mine was supervising the instalation and setting up of a new set of robot car assembly lines at Landrover and I remember him commenting on the large number of vehicles that came off the end of the assembly line and were put to one side because of production faults. I guess we all hope we have not got a Monday morning or a friday afternoon Hippo.

Steve :)

Or a Saturday morning after the night before when after the party the technician found his wife in bed with his brother and came in to work to find all his tools stolen apart from his trusty ajustable spanner and a roll of duct tape.:D

A day in the life of Tiny again?

Well that home made duct tape panel under my wheelarch has stayed in place longer than the factory fit item and still no mud pouring out from under my headlight anymore. :D Remember - the Titanic was built by thousands of experts - the Ark was built by one amateur. ;)
