New on here hoping to get some advise and help to solve my 2004 Freelander TD4 problems!

I have a couple of issues, loud knocking noise at passenger side rear when on rough road or pot holes, was advised to change the shocker and top mount done this and still have the same noise!!

Also have an ABS fault showing HDC, ABS, TC, and hand brake lights on the dash, the car had been fitted with the wrong drive shafts causing the rear ABS sensors to wear out the drive shafts fitted had the abs pick up on the reluctor ring, the rear sensors and CV joints have been replaced but the fault is still showing.

Please HELP..

Get over to the Freelander section and ask your questions in there. You may already find some answers. Those 3 warning lights are known as the 3 amigos. You usually need a diagnostic computer (Hawkeye, Nanaocom, Autologic etc.) to reset the lights and hopefully clear the faults.

Regarding the knocking noise - does the Freealnder have anti roll bars at the front? If so it could be a link to the bar which is worn, or indeed another suspension bush somewhere.

WELCOME, good luck, and beware the banter ! ;)

Thanks,

yes it has anti roll bar at the front the drop links got replaced 6 months ago, the knocking only happens when the rear wheel hits a pot hole.

Go here: LandyZone - Land Rover Forum
Then scroll down until you see all the headings in the Land Rover Talk area - there's a Freelander section ;)

EDIT - does it have anti roll bars at the rear? and were those drop links replaced 6 months ago?? :)
