Hi All,
New to the forum so be gentle !
This may have been asked before and when a bit more time presents Ill search archives.
But ..
Ive just bought Mrs HSE Chap a Freelander 2 (She deserves a bit of luxury in her life) The problem is it came with an MOT advisory for the tyres, and currently has summer road tyres on. Not good for the present snow and ice so she's highjacked my L200 !
The question therefore is recommendations for a good winter or all terrain tyre. Weve looked at the General AT2 on the recommendation of my local Landy specialist but at some point in the past someone has put wide wheels on the FL2 and its running R19s (235 55 R19) which makes finding AT tyres a challenge (an alternative would be to change the wheels as well but thats not good for the bank balance)
Weve come up with the continental Contact and Pirelli Snow and Ice so far but was wondering if there is something Ive missed, basically what Im looking for is something that does well on snow and ice, a little bit of off road but a lot of country roads often with mud on them.
Any help / advice appreciated.
Hope to become a regular member of the forum, look forward to talking to you all .
Cheers for now
Ian
