Hi all and a happy new year to you .
Can any one help with a good mechanic that can work on a Freelander 1 td4 auto in or around the
Bromley br1 area please .SMF as the garage Im using does not fill me with confidence .
AA report prop shaft carrier bearings need replacing as car has a load bang from underneath when put into drive and when slowing down also F4 and more codes on AA diagnostics.

When did you last check your VCU? The support bearings and front diff mount can (and do) fail all by themselves - but they often get a helping hand by the VCU being to tight. That being the case, its an early warning to much more catastrophic/expensive failures if not addressed with a recon/new VCU. You're obviously not a new owner, but if you're not familiar with the issues that can be caused by incorrect tyres and VCU, have a butchers at...
