Dear LZ people!

A true Land Rover enthusiast in Denmark has started a website to promote the idea of free camping for Land Rover owners! The idea is that many of us have property on which a basic camp could accepted for a night or two.

As stated on the website:

'LR-Free Camp is run on a voluntary basis and gives LR owners the opportunity to camp on each others property. The idea of the page is to make it possible to travel around cheaply. I encourage LR campers to join so that we can have a wide coverage.

The only rule is: On the camp site - behave as you would want others to behave on your property. And if you don't, the property owner always has the right to ask guests to leave.

But we hope good LR traditions will be respected.'

---------------

The website is basically a map in which you can register your location and/or look for a suitable stop on your traveling route!

Just spreading the word - I think it a fantastic initiative in true LR spirit!

Agree - and I am confident that there are many with the right spirit (and land) in the UK who see this as a fun initiative! What's to loose? You meet great fellow LR fans, share a beer and are able to provide visitors with great value - at no cost!

I'm offering free camping after the chippie run....gonna make a fortune on all the hidden surcharges :D

Great idea. I have a piece of land that can accommodate a couple of campers for a night. It even has toilets & running water. Would be more suitable for people who sleep in their landies though, unless you enjoy sharing a tent with a goat or 2 :D

Got plenty of room here, but its rented, so not sure the Landlord would be too impressed. If/when we get our own place with a bit of land though I would definitely be up for it;)

When I bought mine the only thing it said I couldn't do was graze live stick on my garden, nothing in there about a lz camp site
