Yes, there is a small bolt that holds the clutch to the pulley, looks like yours is missing.

I think it's an M8 bolt but for sure it's metric.

Thanks for that,I have plenty of metric bolts,do I need a certain length ,and do I need any washers or spring washers?

How does the clutch work ?if I tighten the bolt how can it pull together.

A local garage has put a bolt in,but no shims,so its working all the time ,is this ok,or should i fit some shims in.Are they the same as washers?

When ours separated a year ago, I just swopped the pulley from a good compressor & used the bolt & washer it had in it. The washer didn't appear special & was the same thickness you'd expect for the size (M4 or M5?)

I think I'm being too fussy,time to put in a washer and see if it switches off,
