hi
I'm rob. Generally a vintage Vw guy but always wanted a defender and nwt I have one.
I bought a 1991 LHD defender 130 high capacity crew cab last weekend. Drove 12 hour to Cochrane, Alberta and dragged it back relatively unharmed.
It started life as a 130 ambulance in 'suffield' the British army base in Medicine Hat Alberta and now it's a crew cab 130 project. Someone (told a older British gent) spend a lot of time collecting parts and then sold it to the the fella I bought it from. The last owner tore it down and galvanized the frame and bulkhead and bought a 300tdi/auto to replace the missing v8/manual. Now I have the task of organizing all the parts and putting it all together. Now the fun starts!!
