Hi Folks.
I have had my fl2 auto diesel for 3 months now and so far so good.
Its due its 4 year service this month, previous owner had all 3 sevices carried out by LR main dealer.
I am going to use a local garage that have looked after my cars for past 24 years, good garage, reliable and honest.
Where can I find out what has to be changed on this service?
Where can I buy a manual or sevice schedule from?

Thanks
John

It's in me sig below.

While yer here... What do you think of the Freelander 2? I see you have the auto gearbox. I test drove a new FL2 on a free LR experience day on and off road. Vehicle felt quite stable at speed with good road manors. Steering precise and as a whole the vehicle had good driver feedback. Auto gear changes were smooth despite me having a play to try to trick it. Are your gear changes still smooth and what mileage is yours on?

I cant really fault it,smooth drive, quiet, powerfull engine, auto box is superb, steering is spot on,its 4 years old now with 32k miles.
1 previous owner and she was 70 years young,so its a sure bet it has been run in correctly.its the hse and the interior is unmarked,
I test drove nearly every 4x4 available and in my opinion the FL2 is the best by far.

I sold my Honda Accord d-tec diesel auto for this FL2 and dont regret it one bit!!

Thanks the info. It's nice to get feedback from those who own them.

Links in my signatre (sig) below. I can see them so not sure why you can't. There is an option to hide signatures. Ere they are again. Right click on them and select "save pic as..." to save them to your pc.

Them autoboxes in the FL2 are soooooooooooo much nicer to drive than the manuals. God i hate those notchy , stirring porridge type gear selections.

Hi, thanks for your input can you explain a bit more,I have limited engine knowledge:confused:
My local LR garage want £485 for a 4 year service!!!! and thats before they find a fault.
£120 to change the diesel filter!!!

Take it to an indy..you'll halve the cost.

That DICK TURPIN gets about !

If you want to take it to a main dealer , ring around , get the lowest price. Then ring back the others and ask them to beat it.

You'd be suprised that sometimes you can knock upto £200+ off a service cost like that.

:)auto gear box is very good even on steep hills. Only trouble is it uses more diesel.... I get about 30mpg. The car is bigger than the freelander 1. Especially wider so I find it a bit more difficult to park on town. Otherwise a great car.
