Hey all
Firstly....
FL2 2008 HSE (all possible electrical toys (to go wrong....)) auto diesel
After coming to a halt on a busy but fortunately local road yesterday evening, I discovered the auxiliary belt I renewed in January had been shredded.
So, going through the process of auxiliary belt and cps removal (assuming the cps was whacked in the process) I saw that the alternator pulley was well out of alignment....see pic...well, that shredded the belt !!
I noticed a slight squeak a couple of days ago....but wasn't consistent. It did have a good day's work on Bodmin Moor the day it died....honourable I suppose
My query is, has anyone else suffered this 'sliding out' of the pulley shaft...??
Future thanks to all
Wil
