Hi
I have a P38 4.0 Petrol 2001
I’ve had it for four years. And it’s been mostly great. Folks often saying it’s a great example.

And then… a series of events
Someone bumped into the front drivers side pushing the wing, breaking the indicator cover and affecting the bumper.

Then lots of clicking sounds when I try to start it. Not starting.

Also I had also had an EAS issue with it not quite levelling.

Now water is leaking into the top of the windscreen

I’m not an expert like many of you here and have recently moved to Glasgow and don’t know who might be able to help.

I’m not sure whether I this is a sign to let it go or persevere.

Any guidance would be appreciate :)
Thanks
Angus

The clicky sound might be a battery too low to turn it over. Starter is engaging but cannot turn it. The EAS also clicks a bit as it tries to self-level. If the bit-counts are out too much side-to-side across the axle it can get a bit hysterical.

Water at the top of the windscreen could be rust blistering under the windscreen trim or water getting in the sunroof and working its way down.

A bump on the front drivers side my have disturbed the fuse box.
As said in post #2, check the battery voltage.
The windscreen may also have been disturbed by the bump.
The EAS may be a tired compressor that has been feeding leaking air springs if they are old. New airs prings and a compressor refurb needed maybe.
Surely this is an insurance claim on the other driver?
