Finally managed to buy some alpine windows. I've got a hack saw and the window rubbers are on order.

The question is - how much bigger than the windows should the hole in the roof be - anybody got any ideas ?

Many thanks,

Nigel

There are a couple of slots in the rubbers: One for the glass to fit into; and one for the metal of the hard to to fit into - measure the thickness of the rubber between these two slots (call it x mm). Use the glass as a template and mark the cutting lines but draw them x mm further out from the glass. You might need to add a mm or two to x to be able to squeeze the rubbers into place; I can't remember as I haven't done the job for many years. Better to start with a hole too small though, because you can always make it bigger if you're having trouble with the rubbers.

an mek sure ya get the rite rubbers ta match yer glass thickness cus if yer glass as come off a 90 the later ones as thinner glass
