Have been recommended to change this - is it straitghtforward. Assume it is the pipe towards the rear and nearest the wheel. Unscrew one end and carefully pull out the other?

Why was it recommended? by whom? which pipe exactly.

Recommended by chap at Dingocroft when I was purchasing a new fuel filter to try to remedy my slightly misfiring Disco after injector harness replacement. Told me it might be worth cleaning/replacing so I bought a new one. I think there are four pipes coming off the top of the fuel filter housing etc
 
OK, Now it makes sense.

Which bit did you get, got a photo please?
Also recommend you download a copy of the rave workshop manual. As this shows where each pipe goes to etc.

yes, in the rear outer connection, pull back the dust cap, push the two tabs in on the the quick connector to release the pipe, replace the valve and push back the connector, job done
