Power sprayed the chassis and body today to get a look at the work that needs doing, not too bad, chassis didn't show up any more bad spots than i am already aware of, time to get the small few problems done now :)

hopefully not, all in all, the rest of them are not too bad but i'll be respraying the whole lot so might as well do the work on them while the are off. Pricing up hinge and s/s bolts as we speak too :)

Thoughts on the chassis rust? best plan of action?? im considering biting the bullet and getting a new rear x/member?

Yeah, looking at the pictures, you would probably want to consider a new rear 1/4 chassis instead of just the crossmember. It could be patched but looking at the state of it, you would probably end up requiring more repairs in the near future

yeah makes sense. im not planning on getting rid of it any time soon so might as well do it right. would i be right in thinking theres someone on here who fabs them?? as regards the spring seat area, a patch will probably do there will it?

Don't know of anybody on here off the top of my head but it wouldn't surprise me.

And yeah, looks like that bit could be patched fairly easily. What condition are the spring hangers themselves in?

That will be me:D

@Pressbrake

Haha, figured that out :) give me a week or two, want to get it registered as commercial before i do any work on it :)

Actually, would i be right in thinking they are made from 6mm pressbrake?
Yes so they are strong enough to be a open channel design like a truck chassis therefore they dont collect muck and funnel it into the chassis.
Also bolting on stuff is easier

Thats great, i will look into this and a front winch bumper soon, might made up some 3d models over the weekend to see what i can come up with.
