After 9 months of ownership i have my first major eas fault to deal with. The other day on turning on ignition i got eas fault on message centre and 4 orange lights on height switch but suspension was up and i drove no problem. got back in the car after kids swimming lesson and feared the worst but it was good as new. put ot down to a hissy fit. Anyway went out tonight and no messages ut car wont rise pretty much off access mode. its trying, compressor is running but nothing happening. any ideas before i get the diagnostics of datatek? I'm tempted to go for a drive and call aa so i can get it done on warranty cover!

If you've got warranty cover why not?
Otherwise read Wammers instructions at the top of this section.
If the compressor is running then your first test has to be that. Is it producing 'good' air?

i think its compressor. its running but sounds weak, only just got home and its dark an ****ing it down now. will have to have a play on sunday and decide what to do

just out of interest if i put it on diags would it show up if its a leak etc?
There are no specific faults related to a leak but a leaking airbag often shows as a height sensor fault because the corner fails to rise when commaded to.

Happened to me about 6months ago on holiday the old 3 amigo's kept beeping and bonging for about 5days,,,, but all was working fine. So I decided I would to take to my friendly grease monkey when I got home. However it didn't do it all the way home nor for several days afterwards. So I thought I would wait and see,,,,,,,,,,, 6months later and nothing,,,,,,,,,,, must have been a hissy fit or a bit of dirt on one of the self leveling sensors, but it can also happen if discs are worn (something to do with an abs sensor),,, anyhoo not really much help but it's still nice to chat,,,,, lol. :)

3 amigos and ABS have nothing to do with the EAS, nor have the discs:confused:

Worn discs can't effect ABS sensors. :)
