Hi all, I'm normally resident in the Discovery side but I reckon this will be a better place for my current enquiry.

I'm after peoples personal experience of an LR Defender specialist called "The Thatched Garage - Home of The Man for Land Rovers" in East Sussex.

Have you done business with them buying a vehicle or having work done here?

I'm considering using them and trying to get some customer feedback.

Hi Dave,

I've used them once; albeit a pretty small job.

They fitted an inertia reel 3-point centre seat belt to my TD5 Defender.

It sounds very simple (the seat belt was sourced from Exmoor), but I spoke to a few 'specialists' who didn't have a clue.

The Thatched Cottage chaps knew exactly how to fit it.

They even let me use a desk and their WIFI and made me a cup of tea while I waited!

They've also got some very tasty Defenders on their forecourt, built by their tuning division!!

According to the sticker in my rear window my Defender came from them. Heard nothing but praise regarding their servicing etc. but no first hand experience.
