So, had to remove the ABS modulator this morning (1st April) . Found a quick way so thought I'd share it.
Drop suspension,. remove engine and transmission.
Take off front bumper and remove lights.
ABS can now be removed through the headlight aperture as shown - simple !

As you can see I also took the passenger seat out - not strictly necessary so this could make it even quicker! With the benefit of hindsight the brake servo removal was also not strictly necessary either but we learn by our mistakes don't we?

Sometimes I never fail to amaze myself !

As it happens, I think I did remove the bumper and headlight when I changed the modulator on mine. Think it may not have been totally necessary, but made life a lot easier if you don't want to drop to much brake fluid - which was a definite fail anyway :oops:

Not sure why you would removed the passenger seat, if the ABS ECU ain't bolted to the modulator, its under the drivers seat :D
