Defender was bodily inferior to the 110/90 as the panels were thinner ,I cant believe the amount of corrosion the more modern landrovers suffer from , thinner wiring , and so it goes on , they even dropped the boge hydramat on the station wagons which gave a huge range of load with comfort , instead they go along the road with the rear in the air . its a good job they are ending production before it dies of shame JMHO

its funny as my defender td5 had virtually no corrosion anywhere despite never been protected after the factory , no chassis or body corrosion

my "TDI" defender did have corrosion on the tops of the doors under the windows and a slight rear crossmember issue but not much considering the abuse its had being an ex forestry vehicle

although I think they are getting worse build design and quality nowadays is shocking , only land rover are able to get away with it but I think its finally caught up with them
