So are you going to name and shame these theives so no one here gets to put their hard earned into their grubby hands..?

and is prepared to allow you to get under the ramp and inspect any areas that they say are faulty,

Many won't let you do this as they want you to be confined to a little office thesedays. These are also the places that tell you you can't take the car away as it's in a dangerous condition without extracting £££ first.

I now know how to spot dodgey garages - They're the ones that need a skip to put all the perfectly good brake disks and wishbones in as simple squeeks and play get translated into hundreds of pounds. - So check the condition of their 'scrap' before booking in. The good places tend to replace bushes rather than buy-in whole assemblies.
The one place I did take my crappy peugeot to identified a worn CV joint as a knackered front differential - requiring a replacement gearbox! - couldn't get out of there fast enough, -and bought a whole driveshaft for £30.
Last time they ruined a wheel cylinder, and fitted the bosch brake adjuster plate the wrong way round - so it didn't adjust, and caused so much wear this year I've had to replace new shoes drums, and bearings!

I am now seriously considering getting qualified so I can charge £50 for replacing a lightbulb :D

is yours a seven seater as they may mean the boot floor this would bring the seat belts/anchorages for the dikie seats into the mot and any corrosion has to be within 30cm to come into play with regard to seat belts or anchorages unless they are part of the seats themselves

inward facing seats are not subject to an mot inspection so therefore no seat belts are required
