Looking at an 03 FL. It appears to have facelift body but non facelift interior. It is advertised as a Kalahari but I've only ever seen non facelift Kalahari before. Given the age is it possible some models were produced like this or is this something that has maybe been done as a result of a shunt etc.

It's a home brew partial facelift.
It's quite a common mod, especially as the headlamps on the facelift are twice as powerful as the pre-facelift, which makes the retrofit very appealing.

I haven't seen it in person yet but the photos look as though it's a good job

There's nothing to suggest it should be a bad job.
Actually fitting the bumpers is pretty easy.
However the wiring to the headlamps, and the way they are switched needs to be correct, or the lights won't work to there maximum output.
